Santarcangelo di Romagna is located a few kilometers from Rimini and is a charming place preserving the typical structure of a fortified medieval village, with the Malatesta Fortress lying on the side of Colle Giove (Giove hill) It is also a mysterious city since in the subsoil there is an underground village of ancient origins excavated in the sandstone and clay.
According to a local legend the name “Sangiovese” was born here. This tour will take you to discover one of the most fascinating private cave (hypogea), which will be opened in exclusive for our group. Finally, you will taste local products, all accompanied by piadina and good Sangiovese wine!

It is possible to book this tour in the morning and in the afternoon. Meeting at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm in Santarcangelo di Romagna with local tour leader. Walk through the paved alleys of the historic centre, visit of the private hypogea and tasting of typical local products. Duration approx. 3 hours
PRICE PER PERSON (min. 2 adults):
- adults: from 25€ to 35€ according to the number of participants
- children 6-13 years: 15€
- children 0-5 years: free (insurance and meal not included)
The price includes: tour leader in Italian and English during the tour, walk through the village, entrance and visit to the private cave, tasting of local products (cold cuts and cheese with vegetable side dish, piadina, water, 1 glass of wine or other drink), insurance.
